Alabama timber is a hot commodity

According to recent CNN money article, timber is becoming a fast rising commodity in the US Marketplace. They point out that timber is a “steady-eddie” investment, meaning it’s an asset that doesn’t rise and fall based on the stock market. It’s also an investment that people can see, touch and interact with, much different than a financial piece of paper.

Also, a big benefit is that it’s YOUR land. You can go hunting on it, fishing on it, build on it, whatever you feel like doing. And when you’re ready to sell the timber, you can do that too! Timber sales are closely tied to the housing market and since the housing industry has been consistently making a comeback, purchasing timber now could be a great investment for you in the years to come.

The Alabama timber industry generates over $21 billion annually and covers nearly 70% of the state. A lot of the timber land can be found in the areas we service near Central and East Central Alabama, counties such as Montgomery, Macon, Lee, Chambers, Tallapoosa, Russel and others. So if you’re looking for a new investment opportunity, we suggest looking into timber.
